MHT-CET Answer Key: Provisional vs Final

Definition
An MHT-CET answer key is the State CET Cell’s list of correct answers shown with the candidate response and question paper during the published objection schedule. Students often call that first display “provisional”; after review, the official objection-redressal report may update answers or award marks before results are processed.

- The live State CET Cell notice sets the applicable dates, Candidate Login route and objection rules for that attempt.
- A response sheet records the candidate’s selections, while an answer key supplies the official answers used for checking them.
- A raw-marks estimate is not an official MHT-CET percentile.
- A post-review outcome may appear as an objection-redressal report rather than a separately labelled final-answer-key PDF.
The official process gives the labels their practical meaning
The State CET Cell’s 2026 notices scheduled the display of question papers, candidate responses and answer keys at the same time as the objection process. That is why students use “provisional” for the displayed key: it is the version available while the official review route is open.
The Cell’s later notices use the phrase “Objection Redressal”. For PCM first attempt 2026, the official report listed questions receiving full marks, listed answer-key updates and said the changes would be incorporated before results were processed.
The live notice is the only safe action guide
For PCM first attempt 2026, the official window ran from 20 to 22 May. The State CET Cell notice required objections through Candidate Login, under Objection Tracking, with a fee of ₹1,000 per objection.
That was a 2026 example, not a permanent calendar or fee promise. The 2026 information brochure also says that objections sent by another mode will not be considered. Check the live notice for the relevant group and attempt before acting.
A change can affect a raw-mark estimate
The 2026 PCM rules awarded 1 mark for each correct Physics or Chemistry answer and 2 marks for each correct Mathematics answer, with no negative marking. The 2026 information brochure is the source for the marking rule.
